Baptism Cake

This came out so adorable! One of my favorite cakes for sure.
(The style was influenced by a piece that the customer had.)
3.5" White cake with raspberry filling.
5" White cake with vanilla buttercream.
7" Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream.

This was such a sweet cake for me, it came as a referral from a neighbor, and the baptism was held at my church.

baby girl shower cupcakes

Vanilla cupcakes and Lemon minis.
These are similar to several that I have done before, and I love them ever time.
For the minis, I tried something a little different. (I really liked the flowers with the button centers.)

New baby boy - Cupcake tower

I just loved the way this came out - maybe it's because teal-blue and black are some of my favorite colors!

Five inch mini pumpkin spice cake on top of my acrylic cake stand. The shoes are gumpaste, with templates and directions from 'stellastarchild' on CakeCentral.

The cupcakes are similar to several baby cupcakes that I have done previously, but I just love the contrast, especially on the dark chocolate ganache icing!

Since the royal icing pieces have a tendency to melt after siting on the buttercream, I added the fondant circles with gave them a fabulous polka-dot look!

More baby cupcakes!

Cupcakes for a baby shower. They don't know the sex of the anticipated little one, so we did both boy and girl decorations. Lemon and Chocolate cupcakes. I just love the way the colors pop on the chocolate ganache icing!

New Baby Girl

oh, I just thought these were darling. I made Royal Icing (hard sugar frosting) decorations similar to several baby cookies that I have made (Thanks to my friends on CakeCentral for all the inspiration). These were mini cupcakes - Lemon with Lemon Buttercream, and Strawberry with Strawberry Buttercream. So good! I haven't made strawberry in a long time, and I added just a bit too much strawberry puree to the batter. They didn't puff up and look as pretty, but they tasted wonderful.

New Baby Boy!

These were ordered to celebrate the arrival of a new baby boy! They are very similar to my baby girl cookies, but I have been dying to do a copy of McMama's (from CakeCentral.com) baby sneakers! I love the little sneakers as much as the little girl mary jane's.
[For the cookie geeks out there, I outlined the shoes in white. Then, I wet piped the white and blue base colors. While still wet, I piped the dark blue accent lines and lace 'holes.' Finally, I piped the white laces.
Also for the baby bottles, I was a total cheater. I only had that little bit of pink to do and I didn't want to load up a pastry bag, so I just scooped and dragged the icing with a pin.]

Mod-Mom Baby Shower cookies

These were for a teacher at my daughter's school. The baby shower invitations were Mod Mom style. I made an assortment of several styles and sizes. Per request, they were limited to three colors and simple design. I've done the shoes, onzies, bib and bottle before in different color variations. I copied the invitation for the pregnant mom cookie, and I made some buttons to fill out the number of 'mini' cookies. (the button hole and laces came from a fabulous cookie designer on CakeCentral, SweetDreamsAT) I made so many variations that I had trouble choosing which to put together for the photo, so here are more:

Welcome baby Hughes!

Cookies for our friend's new baby girl! Congratulations to the Hughes family! These are similar to a previous set that I made for my sister-in-law. The bows are fondant. I love the three dimensional quality of the bow, while still being edible.
