My grandfather's birthday is July 3rd, and my aunt's birthday is July 6th, so, traditionally I made my grandfather a big cake and my aunt a little one.
My grandfather loves pheasants so for the last two years I have made pheasant cakes. This year I decided to do his fishing boat. We visited him in Florida this spring and reminisced about going out on his fishing boat (trying to find fish with the fish finder, getting stuck on sand bars, getting lost and looking for the lane markers...). When I mentioned the idea to my mom - she said she was thinking the same thing!
